Sisters Prove It’s Never Too Late to Reach Your Dream

Tomorrow, my big sis Elaine will graduate from college with a B.S. degree. Yesterday, my oldest sis Emily finished up at the local community college and is moving on to a university. I’m so proud of them. Because what makes their accomplishments truly remarkable is 1) both are in their mid-50s, and 2) both had the odds stacked against them from the time they became teenage mothers.

Left to right: Me, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Elaine, Emily, with Mom and Dad

Through three decades of raising kids, divorce, and all of the other turmoil that gets in the way of dreams, Elaine and Emily never gave up. I always knew they were smart, now they’ve got the piece of paper to prove it!

My big sisters are proof that it’s never too late to live the life you knew you were meant to have. So, what’s keeping you from your dream life?

“Just because I can’t do it today, doesn’t mean I can’t do it someday” – Arthur

Whatever dream you hold close to your heart, don’t give up even when life gets hard. Never let anyone tell you it can’t be done. No matter how long it takes you to achieve it, remember that the only way to fail is to quit.

I hope my sisters’ stories will inspire you, but for more inspiration, watch this incredibly moving video of “Arthur and his inspirational transformation.” It’s guaranteed to help you get on your path to the life you always knew you were meant to have.
